since i am recently quite crazy about idols, i shall dedicate a post to them. (partly because i am bored)

Chinese:

JJ LIN!!
haha, recently released his ever-so-marvellous 7th album. sometimes, i wonder how someone can have so much inspiration to write soooooo many songs and still maintain or improve in standard.

Fahrenheit -
they had not released an album for quite a long time since 2009. but i can say that they did improve quite a lot from the previous album (vocally)

Korean:

Lee Jun Ki -
watched a few more of his shows, and felt that WOW, he is such a good actor (although he is quite girly in his looks sometimes)... he has a new album J-Style also, and the MV is wonderful.

DBSK, SS501, Big Bang, ShiNEE, FT Island, Super Junior etc -
recently, kpop is soooo crazy with so many new groups. one word to describe the industry--> MAD

Family outing -
SUPER SUPER SUPER FUNNY. can't stop laughing while watching it. seriously.

Japanese:
Takuya Kimura -
don't really follow Jap entertainment, but he is one that i admire for wonderful acting skills. watched Mr Brain, and was fascinated how the Japanese always use so high tech stuff in their shows.

hollywood:
twilight was mad previously, but i seriously dun see anything good in it.
then Avatar, which earned billions of dollars.
but i think the best movie for me would definitely be Sherlock Holmes. very good chemistry between the leads, and their acting is so natural!

after dunno how long, i have finally decided to continue writing in this long dead blog. so i shall do a brief summary of how my life was like in 2009.

Acedemics:
HORRIBLE! it was the first year i failed so many subjects. school was kinda boring and i just did not have the motivation to work hard at all. and because of my horrible results, i have decided to drop art which will give me extra time to do other stuff. however, the only thing i am pleased with is that my History improved Tremendously! from like a constant B or C or if i am lucky a just nice a2(that happened only once), i finally got A1!! haha, 80 marks, and the top in class for EOY. this was probably the only motivation i had to study harder.

CCA:
i absolutely hate my CCA now without my seniors. it is so boring that i am falling asleep almost every session. it used to be very noisy and cheerful, but now it is like DEAD! i sometimes regret not going to a better CCA...

Art Action:
we launched a one year project called "Share a Bowl of Rice" where we paint and sell the artworks for $200 per piece. initially, i thought that it was too much given that earch artwork was quite small, i was in for a huge surprise when i managed tii sell 10 out of the 12 paintings i did, and earned the distinction award!! all the proceeds went to the needy and i learnt a lot when we gave out daily necessities to them. i was an enriching year in terms of doing my part to give back to charity. took part in a TV production for this project and had a chance to be interviewed on TV. haha. then, we went on two art trips to Hangzhou and Penang. this definitely bonded the entire art group closer together. tried many water sports i did not dare to do berfore at hard rock hotel penang. sports like parasailing, jet ski, banana boat etc. only bane was that i dropped my spectacles in the sea while parasailing...

took grade 8 violin exam and got a surprising 79/100! i thought that i would fail (seriously). glad that i am actually finally taking real interest in violin now given that it has become easier and that i can play so many more songs than before.

performed at Columbia's graduation concert. they were celebrating its 10th anniversary. i felt that i had to go because i was their 1st graduating batch. glad that i agreed to go as i saw many teachers that i have not seen for years. Teacher emily, teacher amy (about 7 years), teacher Avalin (about 5 years), and teacher erin (9 years!!) felt really happy.

doing the life saving course now for swimming. it is rather tough but i feel it is essential as it is a life skill. several funny incidents happened. i was supposed to save this guy in the pool and had to ask him "Hello? are you alright?" and he was like "obviously not! if not why am i struggling!" then i had to ask "can u swim back?" and he was like "if i can swim back, i would not be here!!" then i had to say "dont worry, i can save u" [......]
*note that all these questions were compulsory and if i did not say that in the test, i would fail...
then we had to test the water (it is to ensure that there are no holes in the water) BUT... the stupid thing was that all these testing was done in... out of all places... the swimming pool. [.............]
